Thank you Tommaso and Elena, for so graciously welcoming us to your lovely house here in Pistoia ! And the accommodations have made us so comfortable here that we feel it is indeed our "home away from home". We have had adventures every day from Florence Uffizi, Accademia, Pisa , Lucca and today Cinque Terre. We do hope to return again !
Grazie ! God bless !

Wonderful accommodations... so close to many spots we wanted to visit... country is beautiful even in the winter...the best ? the VINO ... costs less than bottled water and really calmed the nerves after driving for a few hours !!! The bottom line...."LIFE IS GOOD !!!"
Thank you Tommaso and Elena, you were so helpful and kind... you have an open invitation to visit us in Ft. Myers Beach in the winter or beautiful Charleston Lake , Ontario , Canada in the summer !

To the Agostini Family,
our stay in your "casa dei fiori" has been enhanced by your friendlyness. We have been impressed by the many beautiful sights in the area . Lucca is a jewel of a city and the Accademia in Florence has grown since we last saw it. Elena and Tommaso, thank you for your thoughtfulness.
Grazie per il prestito dei libri. Mi è piaciuto molto quello sull'altare di argento nel Duomo di Pistoia. Abbiamo scoperto tante cose bellissime.
vi ringrazio,

Our prodigious guests are able to do unbelievable things, once they are in Pistoia : not only they cut the grass better than a professional lawnmover ... they also become as romantic as Romeo and Juliet ! Have a look at the picture....
Romeo himself couldn't have done better ! But,... look! What is Helene thinking ? Perhaps :"My husband has drunk too much Chianti, he needs some help to climb the stairs". No, you are wrong. Our house produces magical effects ! She is whispering : "O Louis, Louis! wherefore art thou Louis ?"

This is the message they have left on the guestbook on May 2004 :
Dear Elena and the Agostini Family ,
your house and the hospitality are wonderful. We had a great stay and managed to see quite a few things in Tuscany . But there are still so many things to visit, so we must come back again. Thanks again to Thomasso for booking the B&B in Rome . It was very nice and very easy to get to, and convenient to all the sites of Rome .
After being here for 2 weeks we were really beginning to feel at home with Pistoia and the area. Italian drivers are not like those at home but we adapted well - I think.
I know that we would all like to come back again and enjoy your hospitality, house and wonderful garden. We have many great memories and photos ( I took about 200 ) to recall and look at back home , and yearn to return when it is -20° in the dead of winter.
Merci Beaucoup

And this is the nice letter they have sent in January 2005
We checked your new website and really appreciated it. It's clear with a lot of details and humor. How we would like to go back. We just had a glimpse of your wonderful province. If you want, you can add to your guestbook that it's now the dead of winter as Bill wrote it and it's a comfort to remember the colors and the scents of the countryside with the trees and the poppies . We also remember the fun we had playing Romeo and Juliette as you can see in the picture.
Good luck with your projects.

Dear Agostini Family
Thank you very much for your hard work and gracious hospitality. We had a wonderful stay in your Pistoia countryhouse ! During our visit here we saw many places both inside and outside of Tuscany, including the Uffizi in Florence, the Cinque Terre, the beach at Viareggio, a trip to Venice and back, and we even had the good fortune to see the Palio run down in Siena. We surely will take with us a lifetime of memories, we will have you to thank for much of that.
The Tuscan region is quite well known back in the United States - famous for many of the places, food, wine and people that we enjoyed during our visit. However, we now have one advantage that most of our neighbors back in the Royal Oak ( near Detroit ), Michigan would certainly like to have - thanks to the Agostini Family, we were able to live like Tuscans for 1 week !!!
Best wishes for all of you in the years to come,

Elena , thank you so much for you great sense of humour and wonderful hospitality. We tried to see as much as we could but sadly didn't see nearly enough in our short stay. Gladly, we saw Venice , Pisa and S.Gimignano...( which is what I expected Tuscany to be ).
We also experienced Rome , which was our only negative experience on this whirlwind tour of Europe : the "guided tour" of the Colosseo was a trap, just like the hop-on/hop-off tour by bus : it was only coming by every 2 hrs! Venice was wonderful, although cold when we arrived. We also went to "I Gigli" mall . The kids had a blast shopping for clothes . They've come away with new outfits to go along with their knock-off Gucci purses that they got in Venice !
Thanks again for showing your beautiful home with us

Dear Agostini Family
we really thank you for the good holiday we spent to your house. It really seems that you care for your guests, we have felt at home, everything clean, perfect, nice... we also thank you for letting us use your fresh vegetables from your country. The tomatoes and zucchini flowers you gave us were very good. It is a good idea "The book of secrets", it has been very useful to us. We will strongly recommend your house to our friends in Spain . We liked very much Italy and specially Toscana, San Gimignano, Volterra, Siena and Firenze .
Thanks again and best wishes

Elena and the boys,
thank you for the lovely time we had in your house and which has made our stay in Tuscany even more memorable. We really had a good time. Your house has been warm and welcoming and your vegetables unforgettably good ( can't you send us some back home ? ). We will miss the sunshine and dinners in the garden. All the best to you and your family,

Dear Elena and Tommaso,
we enjoyed our two weeks here at your houset. We toured the Chianti Valley , Firenze , and the nearby cities and towns. You were very kind to us helping us and always with a sunny disposition. We enjoyed sitting in the garden watching the sun advance across the September sky. Perhaps the most challenging was the driving on the small roads : most of all was leaning to read the signs directing us through the towns and cities. We learned a lot deal of knowledge about the regional wines. Yes! We sampled as many as possible ! We look forward to return some day. Perhaps we'll see in NY someday,
Ciao

Dear Elena and Tommaso,
from the first day we arrived, you have made us feel at home- your kindness and lovely home and especially the garden, make this a very special place. Our favourite places, beside watching the sunset in your garden, were Venice , Florence, Cinque Terre, Lucca , Cortona (and Pistoia ! ).I don't think there is anywhere in Tuscany we didn't love, and there really is no bad wine in Italy . The "Book of Secrets" became our Bible - it was always included in our travel plans. Tommaso , thanks for all your helpful advice in booking our rental car and villa in Venice . We would love to share our hospitality with you at our home in California . Elena, our Italian dolls from Unicef will be part of our families memories . This was the perfect dream for my 25th Wedding Anniversary.
