How can we go to Florence ?
BY TRAIN :It is the best option: you can park the car in a large safe parking near the railway station of Pistoia and go to Florence in 30-40 minutes. The railway station of Florence is right in the heart of the historical center : 600 meters and you reach the magnificient Duomo..
BY CAR : During daytime and working days, if you go by car it takes at least 1 hour to reach the center, because of the traffic jam. You could find a parking under the railway station, but it is often full. There is another comfortable parking under the old market near S. Lorenzo, but it is very expensive in the morning and not easy to find if you don't have a very good map or the satellite navigator. If you can't park in any of these parkings, you risk to park 2 km far from the center and even further. A car is the best option only if you go to Florence after 8 pm : in this case you will not find too much traffic and you can find a parking easily under the railway station.The trip takes around 30 minutes, much more if you get lost in the winding streets of Firenze!
BY BUS : the bus stop is only 700 meters far from the country house, 12 minutes by foot , 3 minutes by bike or 1 minute by car. You can park the car near the bus stop ( parking is free of charge ). The trip to Florence takes 70 minutes. Buses run from 5 30 am until 9 pm. : the bus stop is located in Ponte alla Pergola.
