Even though a grocery store and public transportation are close, we do suggest you to rent a car to get around more comfortably.
Maggiore is supposed to be the cheapest car rental, but it is not always true. At the moment their official website doesn't have an english version. We suggest you to call the booking service at +39 06 2291530. Their agencies are in all the most important airports and also in Pistoia, in Piazza della Resistenza, less than a kilometer far from the railway station, close to the historical center. Maggiore also offers the chance to rent a satellite navigator, for those who are afraid to get lost in the winding roads of Tuscany !
Hertz has an office in Pistoia, in via dei Donatori del Sangue 1 (tel. +39 0573 367313), right in front of the soccer stadium, 6-7 km far from our house.
Avis has also an agency in Pistoia, which is the closest to our home. It is a few meters far from the supermarket which you can see on the map of our nearbies . It is set in the same area of a camper and caravan reseller.
